Artisan Homes’ second gold-award entry in the New Homes $350,000 to $450,000 category is one of the company’s architectural designs.
As a one-off design, the home has many elements that contribute to its contemporary style and appeal.
Cladding is a combination of plastered brick, linea weatherboard, titan panel board and polished concrete block exterior. The iron and butynol flat roofs added to the complex, challenging build, says Jones, “but it was one that all of the tradesmen enjoyed working on and are extremely proud of”.
Inside, the heated, polished-concrete floors add to the modern feel, while the designer kitchen offers views to the front of the home and across the living area to a reserve.
“High ceilings of varying heights really open up the living spaces and lots of glass lets in plenty of light, resulting in a very modern, spacious feel.”
An Escea gas fire adds to the ambience, while north-facing bifold doors allow indoor-outdoor flow from the living room to the deck, creating options for entertaining.
Overheight doors throughout provide balance to the higher ceilings and a Daikin heat pump provides additional heating, if required.
Next to the living area, the study is well utilised for the owners’ hobbies but can also double as a third bedroom.
“Fully tiled bathrooms complete this well-designed and well-finished home,” says Robin.
